Northwest Survey & Data Services (NSDS) is a full-service survey research company that can provide any level of service or consultation related to survey research (telephone, mail or web surveys), focus groups, data analysis, experimental design, population sampling, and report presentation.

NSDS researchers have conducted surveys for the past 15 years for federal, state and local governments, for corporations, foundations and for private research institutes. We use scientifically grounded research methods and follow AAPOR standards and ethics guidelines.

The process of carrying out a telephone or other survey project with NSDS is easy. First, the project's research goals are identified and defined. Working closely with NSDS, abstract ideas are put into concrete measurements and a survey is produced. Once the survey questions are finalized and approved by the sponsor, data collection begins. Highly trained interviewers in sound-reduced carrels at computer workstations accomplish all the sampling, interviewing, and data entry interactively and seamlessly. After all the data is collected, NSDS researchers can produce an executive summary or a highly detailed report complete with data analysis and graphics, cross-tabulation tables, a true copy of the survey with exact question wording and top-line results (frequency percentages), a methodology report, a sample/completion report, and/or presentation. We have experience

NSDS was started by former scientists from the University of Oregon and Decision Research, Inc. who hold advanced degrees in Sociology and Community and Regional Planning. We have a combined total of more than 50 years of research and survey experience. We have been principle investigators and project directors on more than 150 survey and research projects.

We have a professional staff of former university faculty and graduate students in addition to an in-house telephone calling center and permanent team of experienced data entry personnel and bilingual telephone interviewers (English and Spanish).
